36th regional banking conference of the Association BACEE
On April 16-17, 2018 in Budapest, Hungary the 36th regional banking conference was held by the Banking Association of Central and Eastern Europe (BACEE). This year the Conference was dedicated to the Risks and opportunities in the CEE – CIS financial sector. The event gathered more than 30 countries of the Central and Eastern Europe as well as China, Russia, UAE, Egypt, Turkey etc. Among the participants were representatives from more than 35 banking structures, banking associations from different regions, rating agencies and FinTechs.
The Conference covered issues of banks development, new services with IT technologies and cyber security, the future of instant payments considering the new PSD2, ways of interaction between development banks and central banks of the region. There were also reviews of the CEE banking sector and some outlooks of analysts. New IFRS rules and compliance were also widely discussed.
FBA EAC was represented by Deputy General Director Egor Ivankov and deputy Head of Projects and expertise department Sofia Arkhipova. The gold sponsor of the event was the International Bank for Economic Co-operation (IBEC) - FBA EAC member and 2017 winner of the “Gold bee” in the International public award “Financial & Banking Elite of Eurasia” in the nomination “Standard of Reliability”. FBA EAC representatives took part in “B2B” meetings with the organizers and participants of BACEE conference.
