Anatoly Tkachuk, member of the FBA EAC Executive Board, held a meeting with the delegation from South Africa
On March 31 member of the FBA EAC Executive Board Anatoly Tkachuk held a meeting with the leadership of the African National Congress and several ministries of South Africa, led by Mr. Obed Bapela.
The participants discussed the development of business relations between Russia, the EAEU countries and South Africa. In this context, the parties noted the great potential of infrastructure, logistics and high-tech projects implemented in the Eurasian space for their implementation in South Africa. In the course of the talks, the parties identified the need to form a pool of the most relevant areas of cooperation to determine promising companies interested in entering Eurasian and African markets.
One of the key areas of the meeting was the discussion of the content of the Russia-Africa Summit and Economic Forum scheduled to be held in St. Petersburg in July this year, as well as the BRICS Summit which will be held in South Africa in August this year. This work is conducted by Anatoly Tkachuk, including the activities of the working group regarding the content of the program of the second Russia-Africa summit under the Russian Foreign Ministry.
During the talks, the participants also discussed the topic of creation of the FBA EAC Bureau in South Africa in the interests of cooperation with the countries of Africa. The parameters of interaction of the South African side with the editorial board of the Eurasian Financial and Economic Journal were proposed and discussed from the point of view of the business and state interests of African countries.
At the end of the meeting, the parties noted their interest in expanding cooperation on all the topics indicated by the participants. In the course of negotiations, the parties noted the deep potential of cooperation and the need for detailed elaboration of specific issues and areas.
