Business meeting between the leadership of FBA EAC and RSPP on December 14
A business meeting was held between Li Shuobing, President of FBA EAC, and Alexander Shokhin, President of RSPP on December 14, 2022 at the headquarters of RSPP.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of FBA EAC: Oleg Berezovoy, General Director, Marat Sagalevich, Vice-President, and Tamara Guseva, Special Representative of the Shareholder for the Strategic Development of the Corporation, Director of Strategic Projects at SLC-Rus.
RSPP was represented at the meeting by Sergey Krasilnikov, Vice-President - Managing Director of the Department for International Cooperation, and Anna Solovyeva, Deputy Managing Director of the Department for International Cooperation.
The discussion focused on cooperation between business associations in the new environment.
According to Alexander Shokhin, one of the important areas of joint activities could be cooperation between FBA EAC and the EAEU Business Council, given that next year Russia will assume the presidency of this organization. It is also important to use the potential of the SCO and BRICS country associations, where China plays a key role today. President of RSPP placed particular emphasis on the need, in addition to exchanging current information on identifying and removing trade barriers and restrictions, to promote multilateral projects. Besides, in view of the warm business relations between the leaders of Russia and China, it is important to intensify work on the implementation of specific programs and tasks for the benefit of entrepreneurs of the two countries.
Li Shuobing, President of FBA EAC, thanked Alexander Shokhin for his interest in and support for the Association's work and shared his plans for the development of FBA EAC, focusing on the need to build an effective system of investment projects and therefore to establish a special bank in China, which will be useful for the development of payment and settlement relations between Russia and China, help to improve export-import transactions, create new financial instruments to support the project activities of members and partners of FBA EAC.
Participants of the meeting reaffirmed the willingness of both associations to cooperate on a wide range of topical issues.
