In September 2020, following preliminary negotiations, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the FBA EAC and the Council of Turkish Nations.  On 30 September 2020, a business meeting was held in Istanbul between Samvel Asmarian, representative of the FBA EAC, and Mahmut Oral, Chairman of the Council of Turkish Nations. 
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on various aspects of bilateral cooperation and discussed issues of mutual interest. The intention to further develop productive cooperation on a mutually beneficial basis was also mentioned. The sides expressed confidence that the agreements reached will give a strong impetus to bilateral relations in order to achieve the goals set.
