Business meeting with Indian business structures

On July 23, 2019 at RSPP premises a business meeting was held with RSPP President Alexander Shokhin, Chairman of the Kanoria Fund, Chairman of Srei Infrastructure Finance Limited and Srei Equiment Finance Ltd. Hemant Kanoria and Director of Russian and global business in Srei Infrastructure Finance Limited Rajinder Sethi.

The meeting also involved General Director of Financial and Banking Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation Oleg Berezovoy, Director of RSPP Center for bilateral cooperation and interaction with foreign business associations Segey Mikhnevish.

RSPP President Alexander Shokhin underlined that India is an important focus area and a strategic partner for trade, economic and investment cooperation as well as interaction between businesses of both countries. He expressed readiness to promote partner relations between Russian companies-members of RSPP and the group company Srei, to develop certain joint projects using RSPP platform.

With this regard Mr. Kanoria highly appraised RSPP activities at SPIEF-2019, in particular the meetings of the Russian President with the leading foreign investors and the Regional Consultative Forum B20, stressing their applicability for the world business society.

Srei representatives informed about great interest in expanding their business in Russia in the following sectors:

-          Investments in joint projects on the territory of Russia and India;

-          Attraction of Russian companies to become residents of the Industrial Park in the South of India and full support for their activity;

-          Financial and banking cooperation;

-          Local content in manufacturing on the territory of both countries (aftermarket support) including third countries market access;

-          Import of primary semifinished products for their further processing and export to third countries;

-          Consulting.

 Alexander Shokhin pointed out that the background of Srei, its social attitudes and financial advantages of Kanoria Fund provide for its active participation in Public Private Partnership.

The Financial & Banking Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation has positive record of cooperation with India and possesses a considerable resource for future development of beneficial cooperation. The meeting participants decided to continue contacts in the nearest future.RSPP7441 ОВБ текст.jpg
