On June 16, 2017 in Astana the Member of the Supervisory Board, Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov held a business meeting with the General Director of FBA EAC Oleg Berezovoy. Alexey Smolyakov, the Head of FBAEC Representative office in Kazakhstan and Alexander Uzkih Chairman of the Board of the Universal Commodity Exchange – Eurasian Cooperation (UCEX) also took part in the meeting.

At the meeting a wide range of issues was discussed such as clearing via UCEX between the EAEU members, establishment of Eurasian Electronic commodity exchange of the Silk Road on the basis of UCEX, the possibility to shift the Exchange to the platform of International Financial Center “Astana”, further efforts to expand the multicurrency of the Exchange by including crypto-currencies with the use of BlockChain technology. The project of “Industrial Park” on the territory of Akimat in the Mangystan Region of the Republic of Kazahkstan was also considered.
