On March 16, 2023, an international scientific and practical conference "Climate adaptation and low-carbon economic development in Russia and the world: practice, challenges, prospects" took place. The Research Institute "Low-Carbon Economy» Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation, the Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development of the Sakhalin Region together with leading scientific and business organizations attended the event.
The purpose of the conference is to form interaction between scientists, representatives of enterprises, business, public structures of Russia and the countries of Eurasian cooperation on practical cooperation in the field of low–carbon economy.
The participants of the conference were greeted by the First Vice-President of the FBA EAC Alexander Kotlyarsky. Sergey Korotkov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of FBA EAC on Work with UNIDO, and Pavel Nikanorov, member of the FBA EAC Committee on BAT and Investment Projects, spoke at the conference. Yuri Fedorov, Chairman of the FBA EAC Committee on BAT and Investment Projects, and Oleg Chernyshev, Head of the FBA EAC Representative Office in the Central Federal District of the Russian Federation, also participated.
The event was held at a high organizational and substantive level.
