FBA EAC Round table "Prospects for cooperation with UNIDO: Strategy for universal sustainable industrial development"

On February 11, 2022, FBA EAC held a round table on the topic "Prospects for cooperation with UNIDO: a strategy for universal sustainable industrial development". The event was held in the format of a videoconference.
The moderator of the round table was Sergey Korotkov, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of FBA EAC, Director of International Industrial Cooperation of UNIDO in the Russian Federation. In his speech, he spoke about the structure of UNIDO, the organization's work in Russia, its main goals and objectives. He paid attention to specific projects that have shown initial success or have already been implemented. Sergey Korotkov stressed that in the modern world it is impossible to ignore such topics as sustainable development and ESG, so UNIDO considers them in its work.
Alexander Kotlyarsky, Acting President of the FBA EAC, General Director of PROMTEX LLC, made an introductory speech in which he spoke about the prospects for the members of the FBA EAC in working with UNIDO, and outlined possible areas for further cooperation.
The topic of the round table aroused great interest among the participants, which manifested itself in a lively discussion. Oleg Preksin, a member of the Board of FBA EAC, raised the topic of ESG and the importance of achieving public prosperity in this matter. Alexey Bolbenkov, head of the FBA EAC Committee on Energy Efficiency and Urban Infrastructure, President of the INKO Group of Companies, made a proposal for cooperation in the field of energy efficient technologies, and announced a round table of his committee, which will be held on February 28, 2022.
Yuri Fedorov, a member of the working group of the FBA EAC Committee on BAT (Best Available Technologies) and investment projects, made a number of proposals for the interaction of his committee and UNIDO.
In the final part of the event, Sergey Korotkov thanked the participants of the round table for their participation and offered to start further cooperation. Alexander Kotlyarsky summed up the results of the meeting, and also noted the special interest with which the participants of the round table approached.
More than 50 people joined the round table, including representatives from 16 countries.
