FBA ЕАС LEARNS NEW DISCUSSION PLATFORM
On January 28-29, the IV "multi-hub" conference was held online, organized by the Future Investment Initiative Institute (FII Institute), based in Riyadh. This name of the conference is due to the fact that it was held at several landmark venues at once: in New York, Paris, Riyadh, Mumbai and Beijing.
With the wide range of the declared sessions, which were about 30 of them with the most diverse agenda (from the global crisis and the coordination of efforts to overcome it, the development of health and education, energy, production, tourism, services and the sports industry, the Paris climate agreement, technological breakthroughs, digitalization and digital currencies, artificial intelligence and social infrastructure, to the "nation’s health” demography, the role of human capital, entrepreneurship, leaders and leadership in the modern world), moderators tried to focus speeches on promising areas of investment for the post-covid world.
The holding of a major international event in parallel with the World Economic Forum in Davos did not prevent the organizers from ensuring a stellar composition of speakers at the conference, which was dubbed "Davos in the desert." Their success was certainly facilitated by the recently concluded chairmanship of Saudi Arabia in the Group of Twenty (G20) and the Business Group (B20), with a special session devoted to its outcome. Participants of a two-day conference were addressed by the top officials of the kingdom, current heads of states and the international organizations, the high-ranking government officials of a number of the countries, prominent scientists, industrialists and businessmen and, of course, heads of the largest banking groups and investment funds. Heads of the largest banking groups and investment funds from Russia was presented by the CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev.
Member of FBA ЕАС Executive Board Oleg Preksin took part in the conference from the Financial and Business Association of Euro-Asian Cooperation.
At the end of the conference, the FII Institute announced its next - fifth "edition," scheduled from October 25 to 27 this year.
