Meeting of the Business Centre for Economic Development of the CIS on July 19, 2023

A meeting of the Business Centre for Economic Development of the CIS was held on July 19, 2023.
The meeting was moderated by Anatoly Kazakov, Chairman of the Coordinating Council of CIS Financial and Banking Council, Chairman of Coordinating Council of the CIS Business Centre for Economic Development, Advisor to General Secretary of the CIS, Member of FBA EAC Business Council.  
The participants discussed issues related to the establishment of the International Business Club of the CIS, EAEU, SCO; organization of the International Financial and Banking Forum of the CIS Member States "Dialogue of Integrations: CIS, EAEU, SCO, BRICS" scheduled for March 17, 2024 in China; and the establishment of a new Committee on Information Technologies within the structure of the CIS Business Centre for Economic Development.
Other important topics discussed at the meeting of the CIS Business Centre for Economic Development were the main areas of activity, the work plan for the second half of 2023, the Association's tariff policy, and the admission of new members.
The speakers of the meeting were Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the Financial Market Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, member of the Supervisory Board of FBA EAC and Alexander Murychev, Vice President for Financial Policy and Economic Sector Development of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Chairman of the FBA EAC Board.
An interesting discussion took place on the topic of IT interaction on the CIS platform. Heads of IT companies, software developers and IT equipment manufacturers took part in the discussion.
The participants of the meeting agreed that ensuring technological sovereignty and the need for assistance in the development of information infrastructure in the CIS is a priority task in the work of the Committee on Information Technologies.
