Evgeny Bazhov, Head of the FBA EAC Representative Office in the People's Republic of China, is supervising a project on creating Russian medical cluster in China. This project is supported by Ms Yu Yanhong, who has been recently appointed Director of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This is another example of female leadership in China. Ms Yu's wisdom, persistence and hard work will help her to transform the traditional Chinese medicine industry and spread it around the world.

The National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a government department of the People's Republic of China under the jurisdiction of the National Health Commission responsible for regulating the "Traditional Chinese Medicine" (TCM) industry.

The TCM Department existed within the Central Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China, which was established in 1949. The department was gradually expanded to have more authority and in 1986, the State Council decided to form NATCM. The role and composition of NATCM was adjusted in 1998. Major changes occurred in 2018 when the State Council restructured the bureaucracy.
