The seminar "International Practice of Carbon Regulation" was held on February 15.

The Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO RAS), the IMEMO RAS Global Energy Dialogue Forum and the BP Group organized the event in the format of a videoconference.

The moderator of the seminar was a member of the IMEMO RAS Directorate, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences N. Ivanova. BP President in Russia David Campbell opened the meeting.
Key reports were presented by Jeff Schwartz, Director of Climate Regulation at BP, Head of the Center for Energy Efficiency – XXI Century, Doctor of Economics I. Bashmakov.

The participants paid special attention within the framework of the international seminar to the problems of energy diplomacy and geopolitics, the development of dialogue between national sectors of the fuel and energy sector in the context of the global energy transition. The participants of the discussion noted that an active dialogue between companies and the scientific community is necessary for the sustainable and effective development of international energy.

Oleg Preksin, Member of the Board of FBA EAC, Vice-President of the Association of Russian Banks, took part in the seminar on behalf of the FBA EAC.
