The annual General Meeting of the members of the FBA EAC took place on March 6
On March 6, 2023, the Annual General Meeting of the Association's members was held at the headquarters of the Financial and Business Association of Eurasian Cooperation at 17 Kotelnicheskaya naberezhnaya. The meeting was in full-time and correspondence format. The subject of discussion was the results of the Association's work in the past year, the report of the Audit Commission, the strategic directions of the Association's activities for 2023 and rotation in the governing bodies of the Association.
FBA EAC President Li Shuobing opened the General Meeting. He welcomed the participants and noted in his opening remarks that despite the political and economic difficulties of 2022, the Association has adapted successfully to the new realities, as well as has grown significantly in quantity and quality. One of the features of the Association's activities, the President called its ability to generate new ideas and projects aimed at harmonizing international relations.
Further, President Li Shuobing transferred the right to conduct the General Meeting of members of the FBA EAC to the First Vice-President of the Association Alexander Kotlyarsky.
Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the Board of the FBA EAC, spoke about the work of the Board and the Bureau of the Board in the reporting year. The subject of discussion at the meetings was not only the issues of the current activities of the Association, but also topics related to the development of entrepreneurship in modern conditions, the role and place of the FBA EAC in building business communications during the period of economic and political turbulence. It was noted that over the past year, by the decision of the Board, 10 organizations joined the FBA EAC. Another decision of the Board Bureau in the reporting year was the establishment of new FBA Committees:
- on working with precious metals,
- on healthcare, pharmacy and medical equipment
- on investments in construction and real estate.
Assessing the work of the Association's Directorate, Alexander Murychev noted the high professionalism of the FBA EAC team in organizing and conducting the statutory events of the Association, preparing for the publication of the Eurasian Financial and Economic Herald, updating the websites of the FBA EAC, the Herald, the Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum.
The Chairman of the Board also thanked the most active members of the Board in his speech, noting their interest in the development of the Association and maintaining its international image.
As for the prospects for this year, Alexander Murychev noteded the importance of the Strategic Directions of the FBA EAC Activities for 2023, formulated by the President of the Association Li Shuobing, considered at the last meeting of the Board, and invited the participants of the Meeting to express their opinion on the prospects for their implementation.
Oleg Berezovoy, General Director of the FBA EAC, spoke about the work of the EAC FBA Directorate in 2022. He reported on the implementation of the Plan of the main events of the FBA EAC, informed the participants of the Meeting that the leadership of the FBA EAC in 2022 took part in over a hundred international forums, round tables and conferences, co-organized by the Association. As part of the promotion of international business cooperation, the leadership of the Association held over 60 business meetings with representatives of 25 countries of the world.
In order to popularize the FBA EAC, 23 publications were prepared for Russian and international media.
Speaking about the work of the Apparatus for the preparation of the next issues of the Eurasian Financial and Economic Herald, the General Director spoke about the prospects for its promotion, the work of the journal's website and thanked the most active authors.
Summing up the results of the IX Moscow International Financial and Economic Forum held in 2022, Oleg Berezovoy noted the most active heads of Committees and Representative Offices, sponsors of the Forum, and also spoke about plans for the preparation of the X Forum, which will be held from November 8 to 16 this year.
Speaking about the results of the competition for the award of the International Public Award "Business Elite of Eurasia - 2022", the General Director expressed confidence that in the new year the Association will hold an Official award ceremony for the winners in the usual solemn format.
Summing up the work of the heads of the Representative Offices of the FBA EAC, the Director General noted the best. They were the heads of FBA EAC Representative Offices in China, West Africa, Italy, Bulgaria, Australia, Germany and India.
A new project of the FBA EAC in the reporting year was the program of opening a network of regional offices in different regions of the world, the first of which was opened in Belgrade (Serbia).
Speaking about the provision of advisory, methodological and other assistance to members and partners of the Association, Oleg Berezovoy mentioned, in particular, such areas of activity as the provision of highly professional services in the field of law, personnel audit, financial and banking activities, in the organization of international business communications, promotion of goods and services of members of the Association.
FBA EAC continues close cooperation with the International Banking Council (IBC), with the relevant committees and commissions of the RSPP, with the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE), with the CIS Financial and Banking Council, with the Association of Central and Eastern European Banks (BACEE), and, more recently, with the UNIDO Center for International Industrial Cooperation in the Russian Federation.
"The very word Association implies association, joint work. Only the active participation of everyone, personal interest in the result can breathe life into this organism," Oleg Berezovoy said in conclusion.
Then the members of the General Meeting heard the report of the Audit Commission, which was delivered by the Chairman of the Comission Konstantin Topornin. In his report, he noted that as a result of the audit, the Audit Commission confirmed compliance with the legislation of the Russian Federation with the statutory and registration documents of the FBA EAC, all financial and economic transactions, accounting procedures and preparation of accounting statements. In conclusion, the Chairman of the Republic of Kazakhstan informed the participants of the General Meeting that all expenses incurred by the Association correspond to its statutory goals and objectives, no violations were detected in the distribution of funds.
The discussion of the reports of the management of the Association and the Chairman of the Audit Commission of the Association was commented by:

- Andrey Bespalov, Chairman of the FBA EAC Committee on Personnel Technologies and Qualifications
- Yuri Fedorov, Chairman of the FBA EAC Committee on BAT (Best Available Technologies) and Investment Projects
- Gilberto Ramos, Head of the FBA EAC Representative Office in Brazil
- Vladimir Kotenev, Head of the FBA EAC Representative Office in Germany
- Samvel Chzmachyan, Head of the FBA EAC Representative Office in Armenia.
As a result of the discussion, the participants of the meeting recognized the work of the Association as satisfactory, noting the significant dynamics in its development, and approved the Strategic Directions of the FBA EAC for 2023.
Further, Alexander Kotlyarsky invited the Meeting participants to move on to the issue of rotation in the governing bodies of the Association, as a result of which Irina Gorbulina, Head of the Representative Office of the FBA EAC in Australia and New Zealand, was elected a new member of the Board, Diana Mashtakeeva, member of the FBA EAC, General Director of the Association of Financial Market Participants of the SPKFR, became a new member of the Audit Commission.
Also, the members of the Association, as a result of the discussion of the draft final document of the General Meeting of the FBA EAC, decided to take it as a basis and, in a working manner, make proposals to it that were made during the Meeting.
In conclusion, Chairman of the General Meeting Alexander Kotlyarsky warmly thanked the participants, congratulated the women present on the upcoming International Day on March 8 and expressed confidence that 2023 will be even more successful for the Association.
