The General Assembly of FBA EAC members was held on March 29, 2024

On March 29, 2024, the General Assembly of the Association members was held in the headquarters of FBA EAC. During the meeting, the results of the work carried out in 2023 were reviewed and the reports of the General Director, the Executive Board, and the Audit Commission of FBA EAC were approved.

During the meeting, the participants focused on the strategic development for 2024. They emphasized the importance of strengthening interaction with the business communities of BRICS, SCO, Middle East, and African countries. The governing bodies of the Association will play a crucial role in achieving this goal. Supporting the development of the banking sector and encouraging international business are important areas of focus. Additionally, the FBA EAC's expert role in the construction of the Greater Eurasian Partnership and «One Belt, One Road» initiative should be strengthened.

Personnel decisions were made at the meeting. Oleg Berezovoy was relieved of his duties as General Director due to his prolonged inability to fulfil them. Igor Kolesov was unanimously elected to the position after successfully passing the competitive selection process.

Following the resignation of several Board members, Vice-presidents of the Association Marat Sagalevich (Financial Corporation Eurasia) and Sergey Plikais (Octaviana) were appointed as new members of the Executive Board of the Association.

The Assembly approved several amendments to the Charter concerning the Association's structure and the process of election to the Executive Board.

Summing up the results of the Assembly, FBA EAC President Li Shuobing emphasized the need to intensify project activities in the international direction: "There are many large-scale, promising and responsible projects ahead of us," Li Shuobing stressed.
