The IV International Exhibition forum Eurasian Week – 2019 reviews the results
On September 25–27 in the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic Bishkek with the support of the Fund Roscongress the IV International Exhibition forum Eurasian Week – 2019 was held. The Forum gathered 1850 participants from 31 countries, 200 speakers and 71 companies which presented their expositions in the exhibition area. The quality of the attendees is important - 80% of them were industrialists and entrepreneurs. It is crucial since the event was planned as a platform for dialogue between business and governments of the EAEU. Among the results was the active negotiation process on the fields of the Forum in the mobile application designed especially for the Eurasian Week participants. 350 business meetings were held.
The panel discussion on energy was devoted to the prospects of a Eurasian energy resources market. The panel informed that common energy markets as well as gas, oil and oil products markets will appear in EAEU no later than 2025 when the relevant legislation is ready. Special attention of the Forum was drawn to the development of contacts on external markets and the markets of Asia-Pacific region. These issues were raised at the panel “EAEU: integration into the global market and opportunities on APR markets”. Given the economic turbulence which has resulted in weaker international trade we are seeking for a growth trigger. The ATR markets with their growing volume and better living standards of population can become a driving factor for us.
The Forum also comprised the wrap up of the competition “Eurasian digital platforms”. The first award was given to the Armenian project SmartCheck - a platform to test the genuineness of goods with microchips.
“Our main goal is to ensure four freedoms of movement – goods, capital, labor force and services on the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union. It is possible to form a single market of goods, services, capital and labor only “digitally”. And our competition is one of the steps towards this goal. It is an interstate platform for expertise and practical experience exchange in the area of digital transformation of the economy in the Union member-states”, – underlined the Chairwoman of the competition jury, The Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Information Support, Information & Communication Technologies of EEC Karine Minasyan.
The program of the Forum also included a number of practical workshops like shopping session for small and medium agricultural enterprises, contacts exchange for mining industry.
