On May 25, 2019 Head of FBA EAC Representative office in the Republic of Malta, Irena Jager Agius had a meeting with the Chairman of Finance Malta, Malta's national promotional body for financial services, Kenneth Farrugia.

Ms Jager Agius presented the FBA EAC’s areas of work and its comprehensive activities building on a wide range of cooperation network, which is widening across the Eurasian countries. She exposed that in view of further promoting its business interests the FBA would be more than happy to welcome Malta. Ms Jager Agius also presented some immediate ideas of cooperation, among others active participation of Malta at the Annual November Financial and Economic Forum.

Mr Farrugia indicated Malta’s initial interest in cooperation with FBA EAC, from the viewpoint of Finance Malta as well as Bank of Valletta whose Chief Business Developer Officer he is. He expressed readiness to participate not only at the Annual Forum, but to explore other ways of cooperation, further involving also Malta Banking Association. Mr Farrugia emphasized that a good introduction of a country and its potential would be the organization of an event in Malta itself.

Both sides expressed hope of the beginning of a good cooperation very soon.
