The Presidium of the Council of the Association of Banks of Russia discussed issues of cybersecurity and the development of financial literacy
OnApril 22, 2022, a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of the Association of Banks of Russia was held, at which approaches to ensuring cybersecurity and combating fraud in the banking sector, as well as issues of financial literacy development in the context of widespread introduction of digital technologies were discussed.
Banks have faced serious risks with respect to their IT infrastructure due to the withdrawal from the Russian market of a number of major software and equipment suppliers. The Association appealed to the Bank of Russia with a request to consider the measures of influence to credit institutions. That initiative does not comply with the requirements of the regulations of the Bank of Russia and the national standards of the Russian Federation in terms of information security and data protection. It relates to the withdrawal of vendors from the Russian market.
The Presidium of the Council of the Association of Banks of Russia also discussed the development of financial literacy in the context of the widespread introduction of digital technologies.
Alexander Murychev, Chairman of the Board of the FBA EAC, attended the event.
