At the event the Mayor of the city Tom Tate spoke about the opportunities for foreign investors to develop business projects in Queensland and the city of Gold Coast. The Mayor noted that the directions related to the opening of various industries look particularly promising. Gold Coast is already leading in the number of newly opened enterprises, compared with other cities in the country. The city also became a leader in the export of products. In the first half of 2022 alone, products worth $AUS 7.6 billion were exported.
A special attraction for foreign investors in the manufacturing sector is the possibility of duty-free trade in Australian goods in most of the largest Asian economies.
