17,000 people took part in it in 4 days. The guest country was the United Arab Emirates. Over 150 officials took part in the Forum. The most numerous delegations were represented by the UAE, China, Myanmar, Kazakhstan, Cuba, and the USA. The forum resulted in the signing of over 900 commercial agreements. The Forum's events were covered by 3,662 media representatives from Russia and 19 foreign countries.

At SPIEF-2023, such important topics as the world economy in the era of a global turning point, technological sovereignty of the country, people saving and quality of life, the labor market – answers to new challenges, etc. were discussed.
Business dialogues were held during the forum: Russia-Kyrgyzstan, Russia-Brazil, Russia-UAE, Russia-Latin America, Russia-India, Russia-Algeria, EAEU-ASEAN.
An important event was the Regional Consultative Forum of the "Business Twenty" (B20) entitled "Moving south: effective development in the new world". The event was moderated by the President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Alexander Shokhin.
The President of the RSPP stressed the importance of cooperation between international business and the Group of Twenty (G20) for the development of effective solutions to the key challenges of the modern world.
The President of the RSPP noted the difficult situation in the world economy, including the growth of inequality between individual countries and regions, the erosion of the trading system and other factors, the world economy is facing serious challenges. According to Alexander Shokhin, forecasts of global economic growth up to 2030 cause serious concerns, and the decade up to 2030 may be "lost". However, he noted that the forecast for Russia has significantly improved due to effective strategic and operational decisions of the government and the contribution of Russian business. Russia forecasts a 0.2% decline in GDP in 2023, which is 16 times better than the organization's January forecast. "Nevertheless, we must give adequate answers to all challenges and risks. It is important to coordinate the interests of different groups of countries," Alexander Shokhin said.
The President of the RSPP noted the need to maximize the advantages and opportunities of regional integration processes, as well as overcoming structural constraints, such as demographic problems, labor markets, productivity, technology, trade and investment. And in this, the national agenda resonates with the agenda of the Indian presidency of the G20.
One of its key themes is defending the interests of developing States and countries "in a special situation", such as the least developed countries. In particular, for these purposes, within the framework of the Indian chairmanship, an Executive Council for Africa was established, which included business representatives from many African States. The Indian Presidency of the G20 also noted the importance of the Global South issues and held many events in various regions of the country. This format promotes inclusive inclusion in global cooperation and allows you to benefit the general public.
Another innovation of the Indian presidency was a large number of events in the regions of the country. Such a format undoubtedly deserves close attention, since it allows for inclusive inclusion in global cooperation and benefits from it for the widest possible public masses.
The agenda of the G20 also includes the creation of inclusive global value chains, financing the recovery of the global economy, issues of the future of employment, digital transformation, ESG in business and others.
